Quote: “Go big, or go home.

How did you do it?

“Last year was a bit rough… life altering… my brother died and shortly after I realized that tomorrow may not happen. I decided if you don’t live now you never know what tomorrow will bring.

How did I do it? Well, it won’t work if you’re doing it for someone else. You’ll “yo-yo” back and forth and it just won’t last. I decided I wanted to get myself back. As a mom, nurse, wife, and business owner I felt like I had lost track of who I was. So, I made a choice to cut out carbs, sugar and dairy — and, as a mother of three boys, believe me that was tough!”

What’s your favorite workout?

“Actually, the new Curve Woodway Treadmill! I always start with cardio, then I like to work on glutes.”

Morning routine?

“Black coffee (no cream or sugar), oatmeal (I love overnight oats), then before work I hit the gym for about two hours. 50 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of weights, then 15 minutes to steam, meditate, and shower up.”

Favorite music to listen to at the gym?

“Rap, or hardcore rock – I like it LOUD!”

How have you kept the weight off?

“By being committed to myself and being a better me, and aware of whatever I eat… do or don’t do… impacts me both negatively or positively. When I don’t go to the gym life feels a little more difficult. I choose to take time for me so that I am able to be there for others.”

Best advice you’ve ever received?

“It’s okay not to be perfect, it’s okay to be yourself. Like who you are! You are the one who has to walk in your shoes.”
